Got questions ? We got answers!

What is a typical day like at boot camp?

There is no “typical” day at boot camp! Every day is different and offers a mix of core conditioning, flexibility, plyometrics, agility drills, cardiovascular, short distance running/walking, interval training, circuit training, and strength training. The whole idea is to avoid boredom and get your body to being used as it was meant to be.

How is boot camp different from a regular fitness class?

Go-Go Fitness boot camps are groups of like-minded men and women being trained by Certified Personal Trainers in a fun and supportive environment. We guide you through the workouts, teach good form and encourage each other throughout!

Who is Bootcamp for?

Men and women of all fitness levels come and benefit from our classes. We have designed the program for everyone. You will start training at your appropriate level and will move up as you get faster and stronger. You will find that your fellow boot campers are usually your biggest cheerleaders!

How long is each class?

Each class lasts an hour.

What should I bring?

Water! Lots of water! You should also bring a towel, and wear comfortable clothing and good supportive running or cross training shoes. If you don’t have comfortable exercise clothes, don’t worry. Ngozi brings quality clothing, shoes, gloves, Protein powder, Women’s workout bras, some men’s clothing, Go-Go Fitness shirts etc for sale!!!!

Why do we warm-up before starting exercise and cool-down after?

It is important that you arrive ON TIME so you can participate in the group warm up session. The warm up session is critical because it gets the muscles ready for the exercise and lessens the likelihood of injuries. We also do a group cool down session to cool the body down and lower the heart rate.

How will I know if I have made progress in the class?

We take a full body assessment ,which includes body fat and tape measurements at the beginning and at the end of the 6 week class. We also weigh you on a weekly basis (Weekly Weigh ins are NOT mandatory) since everyone’s fitness goals are different. Some clients go from doing two to three push ups in the beginning, to doing 10 or more at the end of the 6 weeks.

Will my muscles be sore?

Truthfully, yes, you will probably feel some soreness when you first begin and maybe even if you’ve been doing it for awhile. Everyone is different and everyone’s body will react differently. There are things you can do to help relieve the soreness such as drinking extra water, taking over-the-counter pain relievers, stretching and ice, but remember soreness is actually a good thing. It means you are improving your physical condition and utilizing muscles that haven’t been challenged in awhile. Don’t let it stop you!

Will you provide nutritional guidance?

Yes! We will help you learn healthy eating habits so that you can maximize the benefits of the boot camp classes. We want to help you achieve a permanent lifestyle change, and have an in-house nutritionist who can help you achieve your goals!

Is it possible to join a boot camp session that has already begun?

Yes. As long as you join by the end of the second week of class thereafter class will be closed.

Can I continue boot camp?

You can continue to attend our boot camps for as long as you’d like. Since they are designed for all fitness levels, you can never “Outgrow” our classes. In fact, many of our boot campers are repeat campers.
